Massachusetts health insurance exchange is called MAConnector.
What is the Health Connector?
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts created the Health Connector to help residents and employers find the right health plan. They work with insurers to provide two programs:
Commonwealth Choice, the online marketplace that helps consumers and businesses compare health plans and enroll in the one that best meets their needs and budget; and
Commonwealth Care, which offers subsidized health plans to eligible Massachusetts residents. The subsidies are provided on a sliding income scale.
In addition, the Health Connector sets "Minimum Creditable Coverage," the essential benefits Massachusetts adults need to comply with the individual mandate to enroll in a health plan. They also set an Affordability Schedule to determine who should be required to enroll in those benefits
